Variety: Barbera
Region: Pavia IGP, Lombardia
Style: Vibrant, fresh and racy
Winemaker: Janko Pelagic
Winemaking:
Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel with a short period of maceration to preserve purity of fruit and vibrant acidity. The wine is then matured briefly in stainless steel and seasoned large oak vats to soften the palate while maintaining freshness, varietal lift, and a clean, fruit-driven profile.
Tasting Note:
Bright aromas of sour cherry, raspberry, and red plum are lifted by subtle violet and a hint of spice. The palate is juicy and vibrant, driven by Barbera’s natural acidity, with soft, approachable tannins and a supple mid-palate. Fresh red fruit carries through to a clean, energetic finish with a touch of savoury earthiness.
